50 Awesome Sketchbook Scans Worth Checking Out
Recently I came across an awesome site. I had been working on some designs for Septagon Studios when I started to feel myself getting a little irritated with my work. At that point I decided to stop doing what I was doing, I had to find some quick inspiration to get me back into the zone. After jumping from site to site, I came across something interesting, a site that has some of the best sketches that I’ve seen in a long time. As I began to scroll down the page I thought about all the sketchbooks that I’ve kept over the years that contained some of my best ideas and works. I grabbed some sketchbooks and started to flip through the pages. Not only did this website inspire me, but I was motivated by my work from the past. Soon after I was back on track, refreshed with a burst of inspiration ready to conquer my work. Anyways enough of me rambling, check out this extensive list of Sketchbook Scans that was put together by Shane Ward.

Sketchbooks are a playing ground, a visual journal, a place to dump all your thoughts and ideas. It doesn’t matter what the subject is, all that matters is that you’re empting out all that stuff that’s been floating around in your head. Sketchbooks can help motivate and inspire you to create. Every doodle, line, and scribble is important, don’t throw anything out. And remember to always keep it on hand because you’ll never know when that next bright idea will hit.
How many Sketchbooks do you own? What kind of stuff are you putting in your sketchbooks?
