Aaron Noble: Putting Super Hero Comics In A Blender
A piece of this and a slice of that… No this isn’t the food network here and we’re not talking about cake recipes or how Martha Stewarts brownies are freak’n awesome and best served with crème fresh. No not at all, (by the way–that will be the last time Martha Stewart’s name will ever be mentioned again on the Septagon Studios Comic Blog, that’s for sure!) What I will however be talking about is an artist by the name of Aaron Noble and how he has created a recipe for his work by taking fragments of superhero’s and manipulating them to create some outstanding pieces of art.

What else can be said about Aaron’s work other than it’s unique? Well, a whole lot could be said. Aaron’s work morphs into an array of almost liquefied, stretched, free-floating comic objects that take on a life of their own. As seen above: although the concept is the same, no two pieces are alike. Each composition is arranged in a certain way that interacts with the negative space surrounding the piece giving the art a simplistic airy quality.
“When I finish making the painting it seems serene often weightless”
Aaron’s work can be seen in various galleries, he’s also created many murals done in this style. It’s really amazing how he selects and crops certain elements from comic panels and then rearranges and remixes them to form completely different objects. In the video below Aaron Noble provides a brief explanation on how he goes about creating his art.
